Atmospheric conditions are thus created within the chamber to perform different experiments without going onto the field. “Bellston” seed germinators are double wlled units having inner chamber made of stainless steel (SS-304 grade) and outer chamber of mild steel sheet duly powder coated. The space between inner and outer wall is filled with high grade insulation for minimum thermal loss. A stainless steel water reservoir fitted with immersion type heating element is fitted at the base for creating humidity inside the chamber from 90 to 95% RH ± 3% RH (humidity not adjustable). Temperature range from 5°C to 50°C is controlled througha MiCROPROCESSOR BASED DIGITAL TEMPEATURE INDICATOR-cum-CONTROLLER with an accuracy of ± 1°C.
Front door is provided with viewing glass window in order to inspect the sample seeds inside the chamber without opening the door. The unit is supplied with 14 perforated trays made of stainless steel (SS-304 grade). The control panel is provided with individual control for temperature and switching ON/OFF humidity system with separate neon indicators.
