FUME HOOD

Fume hoods are designed to contain and exhaust all toric or harmful vapours, mists etc. Particularity to protect laboratory personnel and quipment and thus create a user friendly and contamination free user environment inside the laboratory. A heavy duty motor and blower system generates a negative pressure within the hood, extracting the contaminated air form the work area and expelling it into the atmosphere and thus preventing the fumes from escaping into the room. These are also capable of handling corrosive fumes of sulphuric/hydrochloric etc very effectively.

Fume hoods are constructed out of thick wooden board with exterior surfaces duty covered with thick laminates. The work table is covered with stainless steel (SS-304 grade) and the work table to is fitted with a stainless steel sink provided with water tap connection and also a provision of water outlet. A counter balanced sliding door made of acrylic moves vertically up/down through a counter balanced weight operated by steel rope.

The working chamber is lit up flourescent light arrangement for visibility while working the space underneath the work station is provided with storage compartments for general use and storage purposes. The control panel is provided with a multipurpose 15/5 Amp socket with switches for light and a heavy duty special EXHAUST SYSTEM with heavy duty motor suitable for a duct of upto 10 feet. All "Ballstone" fume hood systems comes with a fume duct arrangement of any length upto 5 feet as a standard accessory. For additional fume duct, charged per feet, see optional accessories.

Note : If the main working chamber/area is lined with heavy lead metal lining the same may be used as a RADIO ISOTOPE FUME HOOD (see Optional Accessories). To work on 220/230 volts AC supply.
